The figure sat alone on the grass, body motionless. Her eyes took in the vast expanse before her. Trees could be seen as far as visibly possible, to the next range of mountains at least. She could see them once the clouds below her granted the view. They floated wistfully and without care, so light in the air that one could almost feel it themselves. The air was thinner up here, it was crisp, and cold. It permeated every part of her body as she just observed. The landscape was picturesque, the alpine trees swaying like a current when the winds would caress them. Her eyes rested upon a gorge in the further distance, There appeared to be a very old, cut stone bridge spanning it, and further down the blemish in the land, was a waterfall. While she could not hear it from her isolated spot, her mind imagined the roaring crash from the weight of the water plummeting down below. It was not that she was stiff, nor was she scared and trying to hide by sitting so still, but rather was simply… calm. Her knees were drawn up to her chest, but her body was leaning slightly forward in engagement. Her eyes shifted and moved, letting them be the means to take in the beauty before her. The more she moved her eyes the heavier they got, never threatening to close though. If she ever adjusted, she felt her sneakers scrabble through the odd rock on the ground. Her leggings were black, as well as her hoody. It was rather athletic ware, and it was clear she was as she dressed. The hoodie was a zip up, and unlike the leggings, it did not fully fit the contours of her body, it had a slightly baggyness to it. Her eyes were a deep green, not unlike the trees themselves, her jawline was sharp, and while the back half of her hair was pulled back into a bun, the front half was left more forward and messy. Her hair was jet black, while her skin was fair.
Her sketchbook lay beside her, unused. While she normally loved to perceive the world through her sketches, it just did not feel right in this moment. She had fallen into a meditative state, just living in the moment trying to… forget.
